UN Habitat Business Award– 2009new

Dear Ms. Passaris,

On 25-26 May 2009 an independent and international Selection Committee met in Beijing, China, to deliberate on the winners for the UN-HABITAT Business Award. They short-listed 26 "Good Practices"of which 5 winners were chosen.

It is my great pleasure to inform you that your initiative: Adopt a Light has been selected as a winner of the UN-HABITAT Business Award 2009.
Congratulations!

The Awarding Ceremony will be held in New Delhi during the Habitat Business Forum on 7 July 2009.

UN-HABITAT would like to sponsor one representative from each winning practice to travel to New Delhi  to receive the award. Please let us know who will be representing Adopt a Light  so that we can start making arrangements for your travel to the Awarding ceremony.

In the meantime, it would be a good idea to prepare a 10-minute presentation on your best practice, which can be used during the Session which is specifically designated to show case the category of your initiative.

Once more, congratulations and best regards,

Christine Auclair
Chief, Private Sector Unit
UN-HABITAT

The award will be delivered during the HABITAT BUSINESS FORUM that will be on the theme of INNOVATIVE CITIES:
